Shiva Linga or Lingam:

The Shiva linga or lingam is symbolic representation of god Shiva, most powerful hindu deity, representing all energies from world and beyond the dimensions.

There are many misconceptions about the Lingam. Most of people represent, on the lowest level of understanding, lingam as mating of male reproductive part and female reproductive part.

One of the most popular believes is that Lingam represents phallus, the emblem of generative power in nature. According to followers of Hinduism, the techniques of Swami Sivananda, this is not only a serious mistake but also a grave blunder. In Sanskrit, Linga means a "mark" or a symbol, which points to an inference. Thus the Shiva Linga is a symbol of Lord Shiva: a mark that reminds of the Omnipotent Lord, which is formless.

The Linga as a Symbol of Creation

The ancient Hindu scripture "Linga Purana" says that the foremost Linga is devoid of smell, color, taste, etc., and is spoken of as Prakriti, or Nature itself. In the post-Vedic period, the Linga became symbolical of the generative power of Lord Shiva.

The Linga is like an egg and represents the Brahmanda (the cosmic egg).

Linga signifies that the creation is affected by the union of Prakriti and Purusha, the male and the female powers of Nature. It also signifies Satya, Jnana, and Ananta—Truth, Knowledge, and Infinity.

It represents the formation of Universe, when parkriti interacts with Purush then there is creation of Universe which is represented by mating of male and female reproductive organs. To control the unleashing of unlimited energy when Prakriti and Purush interacts ,it is necessary to protect Universe ,so it is represent by continuous flow of liquid from top of Lingam.

Representation of Solar System in Vedas

The solar system is made up of the sun and everything that orbits around it, including planets, moons, asteroids, comets and meteoroids.  In the 17th century about 300 years ago, scientists developed an understanding of physics that led to the gradual acceptance of the idea that Earth moves around the Sun and that the planets are governed by the same physical laws that govern Earth. Some of the planets have been known to people for as long as they have been watching the stars. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn can all be seen with the naked eye, so it's impossible to say who was the first human to discover them, and when that was. Uranus was discovered by William Hershel on March 13, 1781.

Vedic Explanation

Before this everyone believed that Sun revolves around the Earth but in Vedas, about 12,000 years ago  it was written that Earth and other eight planets rotates around Sun. Our Earth completes one rotation in about 365 days which gives cycle of changing seasons. Planet name’s were written in chronological order which exactly confirmed with modern discoveries. Days and night is caused by rotation of Earth in it’s own axis not because Sun revolves around Earth and  is clearly mentioned in Holy books of Hinduism.

#Multiverse

The multiverse (or meta-universe) is a hypothetical set of various possible universes including the universe which humans live in. Together, these universes comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space, time, matter, energy, the physical laws and the constants that describe them. The miscellaneous distinct universes within the multiverse are called the "parallel universes", "other universes" or "alternative universes".

The concept of multiverses is mentioned many times in Hindu Puranic  literature, such as in the Bhagavata Purana;

Every universe is covered by seven layers — earth, water, fire, air, sky, the total energy and false ego — each ten times greater than the previous one. There are innumerable universes besides this one, and although they are unlimitedly large, they move about like atoms in You. Therefore You are called unlimited (Bhagavata Purana 6.16.37)

Analogies to describe multiple universes also exist in the Puranic literature:

Because You are unlimited, neither the lords of heaven nor even You Yourself can ever reach the end of Your glories. The countless universes, each enveloped in its shell, are compelled by the wheel of time to wander within You, like particles of dust blowing about in the sky. The śrutis, following their method of eliminating everything separate from the Supreme, become successful by revealing You as their final conclusion (Bhagavata Purana 10.87.41).

The layers or elements covering the universes are each ten times thicker than the one before, and all the universes clustered together appear like atoms in a huge combination (Bhagavata Purana 3.11.41)

And who will search through the wide infinities of space to count the universes side by side, each containing its Brahma, its Vishnu, its Shiva? Who can count the Indras in them all--those Indras side by side, who reign at once in all the innumerable worlds; those others who passed away before them; or even the Indras who succeed each other in any given line, ascending to godly kingship, one by one, and, one by one, passing away (Brahma Vaivarta Purana).

Medical knowledge in Vedas:

It is well-known that the medicine in the Atharvaveda is predominantly a pre-scientific medicine and is considered to be the forerunner of the Indian system of scientific medicine, known as the Āyurveda ‘science of longevity’. Scholars have attempted to find roots of the Āyurveda in the medical charms of the Atharvaveda and the remedies against various diseases prescribed in the ritual texts in the tradition of that Veda.

The atharvaveda gave birth to Ayur Veda, the traditional system of Hindu medicine and it was developed around 5000 years ago.

The west is fond of proclaiming Hippocrates (460 – 377 BC) as the father of medicine, but way before him in 500 BC Maharishi Charaka wrote the famous Charaka Samhita or Physicians’ Handbook containing about 150 chapters. The Charaka Samhita went into great detail to describe human anatomy, pathology, diagnostic procedures, and treatment for various diseases. Charaka defined eight major medical disciplines of Ayur Veda: Shailya Chikitsa (surgery), Shaalakya Chikitsa (head, eye, nose, throat), Kaaya Chikitsa (mental health), Kaumarbhrutya Chikitsa (pediatrics), Agada Tantra (toxicology), Rasaayana Tantra (Pharmacology), Vaajeekarna Tantra (reproductive medicine). Charaka also described the functions of the heart and the circulatory system in great detail. The Charaka Samhita was widely translated in various languages and Charaka was a respected medical authority in both the Arab and Roman empires.

Written in Wikipedia, The Dṛḍhbala revision and completion, the source of current texts, is dated to the 6th century CE. It can be claimed that Hinduism was first to research about medicine. Besides the superstitious believe whose seed was planted by western culture, Hindu scholars was able to give world valuable knowledge and research.

The Atharvaveda contains chapters relating to medicine, surgery and magico-religious rites  This Atharvaveda layer of text was likely compiled contemporaneously with Samaveda and Yajurveda, or about 1200 BCE - 1000 BCE. Dasgupta and other scholars state that the Atreya-Caraka school and its texts may have emerged from this older tradition, and he cites a series of Atharvaveda hymns to show that almost all organs and nomenclature found in Caraka Samhita is also found in the Vedic hymns.

The text asserts that there are four important parts to medical practice – the patient, the physician, the nurse and the medicines. All four are essential to recovery and return to health, states the text. The physician provides knowledge and coordinates the treatment, he is who can "explore the dark interior of the body with the lamp of knowledge", according to the text and Valiathan's translation.

Nutrition and diet:

Charaka Samhita ,stating that wholesome diet is essential for good health and to prevent diseases, while unwholesome food is an important cause of diseases. The text suggests that foods are source of heat, nutritive value as well as physiological substances that act like drugs inside human body. Furthermore, along with medicine, Caraka Samhita in Chapters 26 and 27, states that proper nutrition is essential for expedient recovery from sickness or surgery.

The Charaka Samhita suggests a regimen of Mamsa Rasa (meat soup) during pregnancy from 6th month onwards.

Freshly cut meat is also recommended by the text for treatment of poison, wherein the cut meat is pressed against the affected part or spot of insect or reptile bite to absorb away the poison.

 Medicinal substances from over one hundred fifty animal origins that are described in Charaka Samhita, and the chapters these are found in.These range from meat of wild animals such as fox and crocodile, to that of freshly cut fish, fish oil, eggs of birds, bee's wax. Additionally, the text describes hundreds of formulations (gruel) it asserts to be of medicinal value from a mixtures of animal products and herb or plant products, as well as inert minerals such as various salts, soots and alkalis.

Depth of Vedic knowledge is still unknown. There are still many researches carried out to know more scientific facts hidden inside the Vedas.

One day, for sure, human being will know about the reality ,which is primary objective of both science and religion. It has already written in Religious texts but due to absence of proper mathematical prove. Hinduism was considered as superstitious religion but things is about to change.

Large Hadron Collider, CERN and Cosmic Dance of Shiva

                             

Both Science and religion approaches the idea of where we came from with set of rules. They both have different view of reality but there are some places where they both are compatible.

 Nataraja  the lord of dance  is a depiction of the Hindu god Shiva as the cosmic ecstatic dancer and dance is commonly known as Tandavam or Nadanta and  symbolises the ‘life force’, has a statue at CERN, Switzerland, home to the Large Hadron Collider and one of the premiere research institutes in the world.

 The statue, symbolizing Shiva’s cosmic dance of creation and destruction of whole universe. Shiva is encircled with outgoing ring of flames which represent infinite amount of energy and space time through space. Also hair represents flow of matter as universe is all about matter and energy. Upper arm holds drum which he plays and releases cosmic sound while creating universe and in left hand, holds fire symbolizes destruction .He always rest on left leg meaning constant attributes and right leg raised symbolizes that he is free from any gravitational pull and has ability to travel through any dimension.

Before discovery of Higgs Boson, Symbol of Nataraja was only limited to hindu culture but behavior of Higgs Boson and symbolic representation of Nataraja are so compatible with the idea of Universe from beginning to end. There is still more things about Nataraja to be known.

In the symbolic representation, Shiva is surrounded by a ring of flames, standing on a lotus pedestal, lifting his left leg (or in rare cases, the right leg) and balancing over a demon shown as a dwarf who symbolizes ignorance. The dynamism of the energetic dance is depicted with the whirling hair which spread out in thin strands as a fan behind his head.

Significance of Tandavam:

·         First, it is seen as the image of his rhythmic play which is the source of all movement within the universe. This is represented by the circular or elliptical frame surrounding Shiva.

·         Secondly, the purpose of his dance is to release the souls of all men from the snare of illusion.

·         Lastly, the place of the dance, Chidambaram, which is portrayed as the center of the universe, is actually within the heart.

Lord Shiva (Nataraja), the primordial god of all gods, the supreme creator and the Mahadeva, the greatest god, the supreme source of energy. Shiva is the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for god Brahma to start the process of creation a fresh universe.

#Inter_Dimensional Travel according to #Vedic theories.

In physics and mathematics, the dimension of a mathematical space (or object) is informally defined as the minimum number of coordinates needed to specify any point within it. Thus a line has a dimension of one because only one coordinate is needed to specify a point on it. The concept of dimension is not restricted to physical objects. High-dimensional spaces frequently occur in mathematics and the sciences. 

Once a child was observing a death ceromony of his relative. There were different ritual done to provide soul (atman) with moksha. Pinda daan was also done and beign confused with this,
the child asked god,"Why do we need to provide pinda for death one's ?

God replied," When a atman leaves the body, for the karmic balance it is taken to another world by Yama. As atman is pure energy, while dimensional travel it might get dissolved in it so atman is provided with a temporary body which need food for journey and this is the reason why we should do pinda daan for death person."

》Atman is pure energy, neither it can be created nor destroyed ; nor it feel anything but once body is provided to it there comes the concept of Heaven and Hell.

》Concept of incarnation which is not in any other religion which means conservation of energy.

About 10,000 years ago , in #Hinduism there was concept of Inter-dimensional travel and Conservation of Energy .

Human clones was made during Mahabharata.

Dolly  born on 5 July 1996 was a female domestic sheep, and the first mammal cloned from an adult somatic cell, using the process of nuclear transfer.

 Religious Understanding:

According to Mahabharata, Once Sage Vyasa came to visit Gandhari in Hastinapur. She took great care of the comforts of the great saint and saw that he had a pleasant stay in Hastinapur. The saint was pleased with Gandhari and granted her a boon. Gandhari wished for one hundred sons who would be as powerful as her husband. Vyasa granted her the boon and in due course of time Gandhari found herself to be pregnant. But two years passed and still the baby was not born. Meanwhile, Kunti received a son from god Yama whom she called Yudhishthira. After two years of pregnancy, Gandhari gave birth to a hard piece of lifeless flesh that was not a baby at all. Gandhari was devastated as she had expected a hundred sons according to the blessing of Rishi Vyas. She was about to throw away the piece of flesh when Rishi Vyas appeared and told her that his blessings could not have been in vain and asked Gandhari to arrange for one hundred jars to be filled with Ghee(oil). He told Gandhari that he would cut the piece of flesh into hundred pieces and place them in the jars, which would then develop into the one hundred sons that she so desired. Gandhari told Vyas then that she also wanted to have a daughter. Vyas agreed and cut the piece of flesh into one hundred and one pieces and placed them each in the jars. After two more years of patient waiting the jars were ready to be opened.

When the first jar was opened the first baby was born ,he was Duryodhana.

If we observe this phenomenon closely, we get it similar with artificial embryo twinning, not limited to only two organism and jar filled with ghee representing test tubes where babies are kept safe.
